SHOW ME ...SOMETHING STATEMENT PART 1

I have never been the type of girl who was afraid of standing out in the crowd . I wear luminous  colours  or bright red  lipstick, big necklaces or bright colours to a funereal (okay maybe not that bad BUT you get what i mean ) . To me all these stand out items are what are  called statement pieces so what are statement pieces you ask me?  Statement pieces are ANYTHING (from necklaces to shoes to bags to jewellery to even hair pieces ) that gives your outfit that extra glam  or makes your outfit stand out from the rest. Statement pieces have the ability to turn a boring outfit like jeans and a t shirt to instant glam with a statement like a cobalt blue blazer.

Today my favourite statement pieces is my pencil print skirt from HEATON , YES HEATONS. Heatons for  anyone who doesnt live in Ireland is one of those shops you don't go into cus its the  type of shop well mostly grannies go into . But one day on one of my crazy skip colleges adventures i randomly stepped into heatons ( I'm not going to lie it was mostly to get out of the rain BUT HEY God works in mysterious ways) and what was staring me in the face nothing but this beautiful skirt from the SALES rack at a whooper saving of ten euro. I love it so much i had to wear it TWICE in the space of two weeks. Reducing cost , reuse and RE-FABULOUS !!

SHOW ME...INSPIRATION PART 2

Getting people to read your blog is one of the hardest thing about starting a  new blog and its so nice when people who are already establish taking the time to not only read my blog but answers question for my inspiration pieces. This month i had the pleasure of doing an interview with one of my FAVOURITES blogger out there Fisayo .  Her style is so edgy but yet has an edge of femininity to it , look at her she sums up cool in one picture .Make sure to check out her blog at mirrormemore.

1. What is your favourite fashion trend this spring

I've actually forgotten what the SS13 trends were, it gets so confusing with all the different seasons. I'm not bothered about trends so much but right now, I love white. That's probably what I'm into the most at the moment. Winter whites and then taking that right on into spring.
2. how would you describe your style

My style is a bit of everything. I just try whatever excites me and whatever I've been inspired by at the moment. I think that as I grow up, I might realise what look suits me more and then stick to that but for now, I'm just having fun and experimenting

3. Do you have any bad habits when it comes to fashion ( like being over matchy)
My only fashion bad habit is my shopping habits. I'm like a kid in a candy store when I walk into my favourite stores or look st my favourite online stores as is more often the case. Sometimes, I need to take a step back and think properly.

4. what  country best suits your style
I think it's probably where I live at the moment- England. Sometimes I wish our online department stores had some specific designers like Elizabeth and James or Manolo Blahnik but in general, I think we do quite well with fashion. Otherwise, it would have to be New York City as opposed to the USA as a whole.

5 . and do you think style in Ireland has improved
Style in Ireland? I have no idea! I've never been there or looked into it. Why? Are you from Ireland?

yes i do live there . Lots of designers from Ireland are getting recognition and MY LITTLE OUL IRELAND is starting to poke out its head in the fashion world.

and last but not least
 6. who is your celeb girl crush
That would have to be Mila Kunis- she's way too cute.
